Aarskog-Ose-Pande syndrome
The Aarskog-Ose-Pande syndrome is composed of the symptoms of short stature, hyperextensible joints, inguinal hernias, deep-set eyes, the Rieger anomaly and delayed tooth growth.
The Rieger anomaly is a hypoplasia of the iris with stretches from the iris to the peripheral cornea. About half of those affected develop glaucoma. Other syndromes of the syndrome include cerebrovascular accident, slit-shaped or multiple pupils, triangular face, deep-set eyes, mid-face hypoplasia, small nasal passages, and microgia. The skin is dry and folded, which makes the patients appear progredient. Delayed bone maturation and developmental delays are associated with short stature.
The syndrome is thought to be autosomal dominant.
