- Regions: Confirmed and probable cases in North Kivu and Ituri provinces. 11 Health Zones affected.
- From December 26th, 2018 to January 15th, 2019, there have been 79 new reported cases in these 11 Health Zones.
- The WHO recommends neighboring provinces and countries to increment monitoring and preparedness strategies.
- The WHO does not consider it necessary, however, to apply travel or trade restrictions to the DRC given current information. Travelers should seek medical advice and practice good hygiene.
